Recommended by The New Yorker

A child's house burns down, leaving everyone and everything she has behind. From this moment, a singular journey begins. Combining 600 HIGHWAYMEN's arresting theatrical style with original songs by David Cale, this New York premiere, performed by five young girls, intimately investigates the process of transformation over a lifetime.

For ages 12 and up.

About 600 HIGHWAYMEN

Formed in 2009 by Abigail Browde and Michael Silverstone, the Brooklyn-based 600 HIGHWAYMEN constructs expansive performances that illuminate the inherent poignancy and theatricality of bringing people together. Developed using creative methods ranging from the mainstream to the peculiar, their work creates a platform for multiple voices and is often performed by non-professional ensembles. Previous productions have been presented at Abrons Arts Center, River to River festival, and at the Invisible Dog Art Center as part of Under the Radar. 600 HIGHWAYMEN are the recipients of a 2014 Obie award.
