French art director and curator Olivia Bransbourg turns the obsessive attention of her cult magazine—ICONOfly, diary of an accessory—to one of New York's most recognizable fashion statements: sneakers. In this special edition of ICONOfly, artists, writers, historians, and designers will create original work considering how sneakers impact the journeys— physical, intellectual, emotional—we take through, in, and around New York City.

Featuring contributions from Jean-Pierre Bertrand, Laurent Derobert, Justine Emard, Edward Granger, Pierre Hardy, Emma Pratte, Tom Sachs, and Tatiana Trouvé, as well as Crossing the Line 2015 artists Gustavo Ciriaco, Andrea Sonnberger, Elana Langer, and Shezad Dawood. Designed by Atelier Baldinger • Vu-Huu in Paris.

About Olivia Bransbourg

Olivia Bransbourg (b. France) is the founder of the French publishing house ICONOfly. Her career in fine arts began as a curatorial and press assistant in museums (Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn, Galerie du Jeu de Paume in Paris) and art galleries (Thaddaeus Ropac, Karsten Greve). She also worked as the Project Manager for conceptual artist Jochen Gerz and oversaw the installation of several artworks in public space. In 2006, Olivia created ICONOfly, the first publication and website devoted to tales of art, luxury and fashion accessories. Since its creation ICONOfly has gathered significant attention from luxury brands, leading artists, chefs, writers and designers worldwide. The publication and exhibitions with over 60 exclusive works of commissioned art from Pierre Gagnaire, Marjane Satrapi, Andres Serrano and David Lynch among others quickly established the brand as a leading tastemaker from Christie's to Café de Flore. She is also the creator of ATTACHE-MOI, an exclusive line of perfumes available at Barneys and around the world.

About ICONOfly

In 2006, Bransbourg launched a magazine, ICONOfly, dedicated to the exploration of icons through art, history and craftsmanship, and based on a monothematic approach focusing on accessories. Each issue allows artists to give their own interpretation of the highlighted accessory through various media. ICONOfly is a Paris & New York-based curatorial and publishing platform promoting conversations between artists, writers, historians and designers around fashion accessories. It incorporates a print magazine—ICONOfly, diary of an accessory—and a line of perfumes ATTACHE-MOI.
