As composer
for more than seventy films over the past two decades, Alexandre
Desplat has built a varied and highly successful body of
work for big Hollywood movies (The Painted Veil, The
Queen, Syriana, The Beat that My Heart Skipped) as
well as indie gems. Equally at home with comedies and costume
dramas, Desplat is widely sought after and has won countless
awards and nominations both in France and America.
Desplat introduces a special screening of Jacques Audiard’s Read
My Lips (for which he received a César nomination)
and leads a Q&A afterwards.
Also, on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, Traffic Quintet, of
which Desplat is Musical Director, will perform a concert Nouvelles
Vagues: From Godard to Audiard as part of Crossing
the Line 2007. |
