Music
Musique Classique

Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 11am

For grades 6-12
Cellist, Evan Drachman
Harpist, Marie-Pierre Langlamet

American cellist Evan Drachman and French harpist Marie-Pierre Langlamet (principal, Berlin Philharmonic) explain and demonstrate how classical music can inspire love, war, and longing, among other things. By way of insightful storytelling, interactive dialogue, and— of course—the thrill of live performance, these ever-charismatic musicians roll up their sleeves for this high-energy introduction to the musettes and minuets of French classical repertoire.

Part of Education Outreach: Young Audience Program, a special program, for school groups, that presents educational and entertaining events selected for their artistic excellence and their connection with French and Francophone cultures.
