That’s Life!?
Pockemon Crew

Friday, October 17, 2008 at 11am
SOLD OUT!

Grades 6–12. Part of Education Outreach: Young Audience Program.

The Pockemon Crew, one of France’s premier and award-winning dance ensembles, has absorbed and disseminated the American urban tradition of hip-hop. They express the energy of French youth and urban culture. Comfortable with a variety of music—cabaret style to traditional Arabic music—Pockemon Crew created That’s Life!? as a visual experience that juxtaposes the banlieue life with the multiple traditions that influenced the dancers.

Followed by a Q&A session with the dancers.

Presented in conjunction with I Kiffe NY: French Urban Cultures Festival.

Performance 90min.

Q&A in French
and in English
