The French Institute Alliance
Française's annual gala, held this year at the gorgeous Plaza, contributes to the organization’s
mission of teaching French, promoting cultural events, and strengthening French-American relations.
This year, FIAF will honor Philippe de Montebello with the Trophée des Arts.
An acclaimed international cultural figure, Mr. de Montebello has led the Metropolitan Museum
of Art for over 30 years.
Also, FIAF will present the Pilier d’Or Award to Jean-Bernard Lévy, Chairman
of the Management Board and CEO of Vivendi, the dynamic force behind the French conglomerate’s
renewed expansion in the U.S. and worldwide. |
