Celebrated
artist Marie Maillard comes to the newly relocated Luxe
Gallery to present the world premiere of Wall 0909,
an exhibition created especially for Crossing the Line
2009.
Maillard’s work combines the concepts of both video and
wallpaper. One is concrete, the other is transient; one is
decorative and made as background, the other often complex
and pithy.
In Wall 0909, Maillard creates elegant and enigmatic
hybrids, designed to question the relationship between body
and the occupation of space.
Maillard will also create a special video installation to
be displayed at FIAF in Florence Gould Hall throughout Crossing
the Line 2009. |
