Macy’s legendary
windows become the site for artists and fashion designers
to come together as part of the store’s special ongoing series, Art
Under Glass. Eleven French and American artists have
been invited to create installations especially for these
highly visible showcase windows. This temporary sidewalk
gallery will place multimedia displays by these potent young
artists in relation to the new, exclusive fusion collection Rachel
Rachel Roy. Free and open to the public 24/7, Macy’s
windows will take on a whole new life as night falls.
Windows will feature the work of: AIDS-3D, Hrafnhildur
Arnardóttir aka Shoplifter,
Olivier Babin,
Bruce High Quality Foundation, Marie Losier with Aya Kakeda
and Francois Leloup Collet,
Marie Maillard with Amelie Chabannes, Sarah Ortmeyer,
Agathe Snow with Rita Ackerman, Visual System, Nick van
Woert, and Michael L. Yinger. |
