Join
acclaimed Algerian author Boualem Sansal for a discussion
of his groundbreaking novel, The German Mujahid,
the first Arab work to confront the Holocaust. The novel,
which created a sensation in Europe last year, was released
in the U.S. on September 29th.
Based on a true story and inspired by the work of Primo
Levi, the rich text allows Sansal to tackle the implications
of the Holocaust while also addressing equally controversial
issues of Muslim life in contemporary France. Moderated by Paul
Berman.
