This
fall, FIAF’s Art de Vivre series The Art of
Eating Today, invites you to discover how trends
in food—the way we eat it, cook it, and its role in our health—change
over time and how they influence the way we live.
FIAF welcomes revolutionary French scientist and doctor David
Servan-Schreiber, who will discuss the impact of diet
on one’s health. Specifically, he will explore the important
role food plays in the body’s fight against diseases like
cancer.
Servan-Schreiber, a clinical professor of psychiatry at
the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, co-founder
of the U.S. branch of Doctors Without Borders, 15-year survivor
of brain cancer, and author of The New York Times best-seller Anticancer:
a New Way of Life, is uniquely qualified to speak about
how the development of nutritious habits can strengthen your
body’s natural cancer-resisting capabilities. Servan-Schreiber
will talk about his experience as a cancer survivor and will
share his personal journey toward a healthier lifestyle.
