Attend an elegant evening in support
of FIAF's mission to teach French, explore
French cultures, and strengthen French-American relations.
Held at "583 Park Avenue," the annual Trophée des Arts Gala brings together
enthusiastic supporters to honor
luminaries in business and the arts,
whose work furthers FIAF's mission.
Established in 1992, the Trophée des Arts recognizes a distinguished artist or cultural icon who exemplifies our organization’s mission of French-American friendship and cross-cultural exchange.
The Pilier d’Or recognizes a leading business figure, diplomat, or philanthropist for outstanding contributions to the economic and social links between North America and France.
The Trophée des Arts 2011 awarded to Alain Ducasse.
Alain Ducasse, one of the most world-renowned chefs of his generation, artfully negotiates the balance between people and the products of nature, resulting in radiant dining pleasure. Mr. Ducasse has more than 20 restaurants in eight countries, and three of them—in Monaco, Paris, and London—have been awarded three Michelin stars in recognition of unparalleled levels of creativity and excellence. From New York to Washington and Las Vegas to Vieques, Mr. Ducasse brings his expertise in the traditional art of French gastronomy to this side of the Atlantic. A chef, restaurateur, and passionate leader, he values education and shares his innovation, attention to detail, and dedication to quality with future generations of chefs. His vibrant curiosity and vast cultural awareness lie at the heart of all his projects. Mr. Ducasse is a living symbol of cross-cultural dialogue.
