World Nomads
Africa

May 1–27, 2008

World nomads. Global citizens. Contemporary wanderers. We are modern in that we are mobile, moving within the spaces of an increasingly interconnected world. In May, FIAF launches World Nomads, a series that examines the cross-cultural exchange of ideas, artistic expression, and style.

This transcultural journey begins in contemporary Africa. Together with African Film Festival, Inc., PEN World Voices, and Trace magazine, FIAF presents 12 diverse programs on subjects ranging from current affairs to cultural heritage, through dance, music, literature, visual arts, and film. Discover African artists who have been inspired and embraced by France and the U.S.
