Lebanese-American
artist Nabil Nahas, whose work has been exhibited
all over the world, brings his striking, large-scale works—including
a few new pieces—to FIAF’s Gallery.
Nahas’s pieces reflect both western modernism and classic
Islamic art, and explore the concept of order emerging from
disorder through vibrant color, texture, patterns, and abstract
images. Inspired by the beauty of nature and the rich complexity
of Middle Eastern culture, Nahas uses natural elements such
as trees—in particular the cedar, symbolizing Lebanon—to
present his personal vision of his homeland. |
