Award-winning author, photographer, and visual artist Rawi Hage will discuss his approach to writing and the ways in which his multicultural background has influenced his voice.

His debut novel, De Niro’s Game (2006), has garnered several literary awards, including the 2008 IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, the McAuslan First Book Prize, and the Paragraphe Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction.

The discussion will be conducted by David Haglund, managing editor of PEN America, the literary magazine published by PEN American Center.
