La Sentinelle, read in English by Jane Birkin
Translation of both texts by Linda Gaboriau For
one special evening, Wajdi Mouawad will be joined
on the stage of FIAF’s Florence Gould Hall by his dear friend,
actress and singer Jane Birkin. The two will read
Mouawad’s The Sentinel—a personal work written especially
for Birkin—as well as other select pieces.
Jane Birkin is no stranger to FIAF audiences, having recently
played two
sold-out shows as part of her Enfants d’hiver tour.
She returns for this collaboration with the internationally
renowned Mouawad, with whom she shares a strong bond of mutual
respect and admiration.
