like The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Summer of ‘42 and Yentl and
is a brilliant jazz pianist. During this
special concert, he performs many of
his memorable melodies with his trio.
L’Orchestre National de Jazz - Franck Tortiller performs Close to Heaven: Tribute to Led Zeppelin,
adaptations for jazz ensemble
of classics by one of the most
influential bands of the 1970s. The
ten-piece orchestra crosses genres
to explore the legendary rock
band’s collective improvisations
and complex compositions.
This concert is part of the French
Quarter Festival organized by the
Cultural Services of the French
Embassy in conjunction with the 34th
Annual IAJE International Conference.
