For
the past decade, French photographer Sarah Caron has traveled
the world, working both in journalism and on longform projects.
Her work has taken her to many continents, with assignments
in Thailand, Cuba, Burma, and Mexico. In 2006, Caron received
a Getty Images Grant for Editorial Photography to complete The
Al-Aqsa Martyr Brigades– The Balata Sentinels, a series
exploring the martyrdom culture in Palestine. Her work has
been published in many international publications, including Le
Monde, Le Figaro, The New York Times Magazine, Newsweek,
and Elle.
This exhibition
features photographs from around the world. Demonstrating
her keen eye for subject and story, Caron’s images blur the
lines between photojournalism and art photography with a
rich depth of humanity and an international consciousness.
