Fashion
Talks with Pamela Golbin
French haute couture meets New York style during FIAF's Fashion
Talks, hosted by Pamela Golbin, Curator in Chief of Twentieth-century
and Contemporary Fashion at the Musée de la Mode et du Textile
in Paris.
An American icon, Donna Karan revolutionized women’s wear
with her famous “Seven Easy Pieces” collection. Her designs
highlight the needs of modern women, crossing the professional
with the feminine. A graduate of Parsons, Karan first worked
at Anne Klein, becoming the label's co-designer with Louis
Dell’Olio. Later, she started her own label, which featured
Karan’s love for sensual fabrics and a modern silhouette.
Today, a part of the respected LVMH brand, Donna Karan continues
to redefine fashion with extended collections in menswear,
children’s apparel, accessories, and home design.
