Fashion
Talks with Pamela Golbin
French haute couture meets New York style during FIAF's Fashion
Talks, hosted by Pamela Golbin, Curator in Chief of Twentieth-century
and Contemporary Fashion at the Musée de la Mode et du Textile
in Paris.
French designer Catherine Malandrino arrived on the New
York fashion scene in 1998 with the idea of blending the
romance of Paris with the energy of Manhattan. Her eponymous
label debuted in 1998, attracting a dedicated clientele from
New York to Paris to Los Angeles, and most recently Dubai.
The Catherine Malandrino label is internationally renowned
for its distinctive designs, sensual elements, and ultra
femininity. In 2006, Catherine launched the Malandrino accessory
collection, including shoes, bags, and jewelry, expanding
her label’s influence in women’s wear around the globe.
