In
honor of L’Oréal’s centennial,
the L’Oréal Corporate Foundation in France initiated
a study of the human quest for
beauty in all cultures and civilizations throughout the ages.
The result is 100,000 Years of Beauty, a fascinating
book exploring beauty from the points of view of international
experts including sociologists, philosophers, historians,
and artists. It includes contributions
from 300 authors of 35 nationalities and working in 20 different
disciplines.
To celebrate this renowned research project, L’Oréal
is hosting a special evening discussion at FIAF. The panel
will be led by Béatrice Dautresme, Managing Director
of the L’Oréal Corporate Foundation, and will
feature collaborators on the book including Elisabeth
Azoulay, General Editor, Françoise Gaillard, General
Scientific Editor, and Philippe Walter, contributor.
The panel will discuss and identify the pursuit of beauty
in all civilizations, from prehistoric time to today, and
provide a special glimpse of the future
With your ticket purchase, you will be entered into a drawing
to win one of three copies of this stunning and captivating
book, recently featured in the February 2010 issue of Elle
magazine.
A cocktail reception will follow the discussion.
