Artist Greg
Lauren, who first achieved success as a painter, presents
a site-specific installation of striking sculptures of
clothing made from paper. Inspired by the idea of fashion
as an art and medium for self expression, Lauren will explore
the role fashion plays in the development of identity.
A nephew of fashion designer Ralph Lauren, the artist will
investigate both the artistic process of creating fashion
by hand-sewing each piece, as well as the intriguing concept
of clothing as a component of self-image.
