Accomplished
singer and actress Jane Birkin returns to FIAF for
two wonderful evenings of song. Birkin, who began her career
in the 1960s with singer Serge Gainsbourg, will perform songs
from her most recent album, Enfants d’hiver,
as well as old favorites from her days with Gainsbourg.
Enfants d’hiver marks Birkin's first foray into
songwriting and features the singer’s penchant for nostalgia,
her breathy voice, and musings on the passage of time. Don’t
miss the chance to see this icon live in concert in New York!
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit
the Mae Tao Clinic, which provides free health care for Burmese
refugees on the Thai border.
The recording of sound, photographs, or video images is
strictly prohibited. Special thanks to Gradoux-Matt Rare
Violins, LLC for the cello that will be played during the
performance.
