French mode meets
New York style with FIAF’s winter fashion series. This year,
FIAF welcomes three of fashion’s leading male designers,
who will provide an insiders’
perspective on this fascinating and exclusive world. Heir
apparent and designer of rare luxury brand J. Mendel, Gilles
Mendel will speak about the delicate task of modernizing
a century-old, family-owned business and transforming it
into a success. Trendsetter Tommy
Hilfiger, a twenty-year veteran of the industry and leader
of a global fashion empire, will speak about the intriguing
business of creating an international fashion brand. Marc
Jacobs will discuss the evolution of fashion designers
into stars and the relationship between fashion and Hollywood.
