Marc
Jacobs is one of fashion’s most important figures.
Always a step ahead, Jacobs creates innovative masterpieces
for his eponymous line, as well as for Marc by Marc Jacobs,
and for the major French fashion house Louis Vuitton where
he serves as creative director.
Jacobs, who divides his time between Paris and New York,
creates collections representing a range of influences as
he mixes eclectic styles, eras, cultures, textures, and prints.
The resulting designs are romantic, comfortable, and familiar,
yet entirely new and utterly hip. The fashion world has responded
by bestowing countless awards on Jacobs, who has risen to
become a prominent fixture on the celebrity scene. His powerful
fashion sensibility and plain-old cool designs have revolutionized
the fashion world, making him one of today’s most influential
designers.
