What does New York mean to you?
I feel home in New York because I'm born in Paris and there's not so much difference
between the soul of those two cities. But still I love the special
light and energy of NYC, I like places who give inspiration to write
songs.
What is special about this new album?
Baba Love is a lot about the sensual pleasures of life, it's allowed me
to share a true positive feeling on stage, and it's not a luxury in these times!
What music are you listening to now?
Most of time I enjoy relaxing music like Debussy and Ravel, Brian Eno, and Massive Attack. When I need power, deep groove like The Wu Tang Clan, a Tribe Called Quest,
Missy Elliot, or James Brown. When I'm cool, my god, Curtis Mayfield.
If you could be a fly on the wall of anyone’s recording studio, who would that be?
I would do a trip into time and be a coffee assistant in the
recording studio of Curtis Mayfield.
