About the Partners

Chambers Street Wines, located at 148 Chambers Street,  opened in June 2001, the product of David Lillie and Jamie Wolff's idea that New York might support a shop that indulged their love for naturally made wines from artisanal small producers. This is a shop where the staff really loves wine, drinks wine with food and knows about what they're selling. Particular strengths are the Loire Valley, Beaujolais, Burgundy, Champagne, the Rhone Valley, Languedoc/Roussillon, Piedmont, Sicily, Germany and Austria, as well as a large selection of carefully-sourced mature wines. This tasting will feature a flight of six wines, paired with delicious breads from Maison Kayser, the newly-opened boulangerie of the Upper East Side (1294 Third Avenue at 74th Street), a selection of charcuterie from d’Artagnan, a leading purveyor of natural and organic meats to four-star chefs and home gourmets, and a selection of cheeses, with well-known brands like Président for creamy soft-ripened cheeses and Société for the famous Roquefort.
