Pierre Lhomme is the pioneering, César-winning cinematographer whose beautiful camerawork helped shape the careers of iconic filmmakers including Chris Marker, Jean Eustache, and James Ivory.
With an oeuvre spanning the incredible technological innovations and evolving filmmaking practices of the past half century, his films are marked by a mastery of low light, and a gift for psychological realism in any genre. See some of his greatest works—many newly restored—this winter
