FIAF’s à petits pas program provides a gentle and fun immersion experience through a structured curriculum, allowing your child to become familiar with French through hands-on and age-appropriate activities!

In à petits pas (age 3) classes, your child will pick up new words and language structures, using them in a variety of stimulating activities such as fun arts-and-crafts projects, dancing, games, and stories. Through the repetition of vocabulary and basic language structures, as well as the interaction between his or her teacher and classmates, your child’s fluency and confidence in the language will grow.

A light snack is provided. During snack time, toddlers practice lively routines in French that demonstrate the French savoir faire.

One parent or caregiver must attend class with the child except for classes with course code APP3/4. APP3/4 are drop-off classes, to attend which, children must be potty-trained and accustomed to separation.

Speed up your child’s learning even more with à petits pas Plus, a special program that combines an 11-week à petits pas with a series of creative weekly workshops.
