adapté au Québec (TEFaQ)

Pick a question:
- What is the TEFaQ?
- When is the next session?
- How is TEFaQ graded?
- How much does it cost?
- How do I register? Who do I contact for additional info?

What is the TEFaQ?

The TEFaQ is a specific version of the TEF which has been elaborated based on the request of the Ministry of immigration and cultural communities of Québec to assess the level of competency in French, specifically the listening and oral skills, of an audience that wishes to emigrate to Québec.

The TEFaQ is composed of a listening comprehension and an oral expression. You must take both to complete your test:
• Listening comprehension (60 items – 40 minutes)
• Oral expression (35 minutes).

How is TEFaQ graded?

As for the TEF, the TEFaQ scores are ranked on 6 levels, ranging from 0+ level (basic skills) to level 6 (master skills) as per the scale of the CCIP (Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris) and from A1 level to C2 level, as defined by the Council of Europe (Common European Framework of References for Languages). TEF and TEFaQ score results are reliable measurements of language proficiency. An official certificate which is valid for one year is awarded.
