Review

RV150 (Level A2; review of levels A1 & A2)
RV250 (Level B1; review of level B1)

This course allow students to review the principal oral and written skills corresponding to their level. They are useful for students who have not practiced French for some time, or for FIAF students who feel they need a review before going on to the next level.

 
Review (RV150)

Level A2; review of levels A1 & A2

Provides a solid review of the principal oral and written topics covered in the four 101-104 level courses. The class covers the basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as pronunciation. It is useful for students who have not studied or practiced French for a few years, or for FIAF students who feel they need a review before going on to the intermediate level.

In this course you will:

  • Reinforce your communication skills to be able to talk about your daily routine, express your feelings and opinions, describe your future plans and things you did in the past
  • Reinforce your written skills to be able to write a postcard, a short letter or text about yourself
  • Review the essential grammar points covered in 101-104.
  • Further develop your understanding of French and francophone culture and civilization

Review (RV250)

Level B2; review of level B1

Provides a solid review of the principal oral and written topics covered in the four 201-204 level courses. The class covers the basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as pronunciation. It is useful for students who have not studied or practiced French for a few years, or for FIAF students who feel they need a review before going on to conversation and thematic courses.

In this course you will:

  • Consolidate your ability to clearly express yourself as you wish, such as to summarize a news story, describe a situation, compare viewpoints, give facts
  • Reinforce your written skills to be able to write a letter to a friend, a letter requesting information or a short story
  • Strengthen your oral communication skills in order to express your opinions and judgements
  • Review the essential grammar points covered in 201-204.
  • Review your knowledge of the French regions, history, literature & art
