Course Description

Acquire an ease at speaking French!

This class is intended for anyone who would like to share an adventure, to have fun in French, and to perfect their oral skills in order to best express themselves in Molière’s native tongue. Using contemporary texts, we will work with everyday scenes to perfect accent, diction, and pronunciation. The theatre is a great tool to become acquainted with a foreign language, to build confidence and learn how to express yourself freely. But most importantly, the theater is a game—it is in this spirit that the course is built—to have fun!

No prior acting experience is needed and beginners or amateurs are welcome! Also open to native French-speakers.

Eleonore Dyl, Stage Director
In 1996, Eleonore graduated from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in Theater Production. Since then she has worked on film and theatrical productions with international directors such as Irina Brook and Luc Bondi. Eleonore started to direct her own projects in 2003. In 2006, she has been awarded a Swiss Prize to develop her own theatrical project over a period of six month in NYC. She is currently working as a director of theater Education for the MC Giordano Dance Company, collaborating with Gilles Valery on the surrealist film “La Baignoire du Champ” (to be released in 2011), and developing her next production, a stage adaptation of a graphic novel.
