Regions of France (FR350)

Level B2

And here is all you always wanted to know about France … and never got a chance to ask ! Although she stands out in the world as one Nation, united and indivisible, France is actually a patchwork of regions !!

Based on a very comprehensive and yet not exhaustive study of the major regions of ancient and modern France, conducted with the audio-visual support of documentaries or short films as well as websites, this innovative and diversified course will help the students discover the uniqueness of each region and its various historical, geographical, political, economical and cultural aspects.

  • Widen your vocabulary in the areas of history, geography, literature, etc …
  • Broaden your knowledge of the major regions of France
  • Understand the important concept of “terroir” a.k.a. region
  • Discover the various historical, geographical and cultural aspects of France as seen through the eyes of its famous writers, artists and intellectuals, as they speak about their native region
  • Improve your hearing and reading comprehension skills
  • Become skilled at summarizing and discussing a text, as you will be asked to do some personal research and oral presentations
  • Get a surprise bonus : a chance to plan your future vacation in France … at no extra cost!
