Description
Get ready for your next trip to France! Through role-playing, visual aids, videos, and authentic materials (maps, menus, etc.), learn phrases for specific situations (airport, hotel, bank, train station,
and more) and discover important French customs and behaviors.
This workshop also serves as a useful review for intermediate and advanced learners.
You will be placed in the simulated situation of a tourist
in France:
- In the morning, you will cover greetings, introductions,
situations on the plane, asking for directions and ordering
in a restaurant
- Lunch will be held in a local French restaurant, where
participants will order in French
- In the afternoon, you will cover situations at the hotel,
museum and the post office, numbers, shopping, clothing,
telling time and transportation schedules

Chantal Oldenburg
Madame Oldenburg holds a Master’s Degree in Modern Literature from the Université de Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle. She has taught French as a second language for more than 15 years, and has also given courses in Business French and French literature. In addition to her courses at FIAF, Madame Oldenburg teaches at the New York University School of Continuing Education and at the New School.
