The play's the thing in this Theater Club that builds young French speakers’ confidence and fluency with an imaginative and creative group project.

Le Club Théâtre makes learning and using French fun and rewarding. Your child, pre-teen, or teen will gain fluency in the language, develop her / his creative talents, make friends, and experience the challenge and fun of putting on a show.

Led by expert French and Theater teacher, Marie-Hélène Brabant, students participates in age-appropriate theater exercises—movement, improvisation, and voice warm-ups. They learn and present dialogue and scenes, and also create costumes and props.

Class Performance for Parents on Dec 16

The 11-week session culminates in the class performing an original or adapted scene for parents. Some classes may also have the opportunity to compete in Festival Première Scène—an annual international theater festival organized by the prestigious Lycée Français of New York. FIAF Le Club Théâtre’s presentations have been among the past winners.

About the Teacher

Marie-Hélène Brabant developed and leads Le Club Théâtre. She is a professionally trained actress with more than 20-years’ experience teaching acting techniques to children and adults. Brabant also coaches professional actors and gives public speaking lessons.
