Language-Learning pamphlets: Oui, Je peux !
Yes, you can learn French at the Library! The Library now offers a series of orientation guides for students in levels A1, A2, and B1. These pamphlets will help beginning students discover the materials in the Library that will help them on their path to fluency in French.

Learning Materials by Level
To consult the language-learning materials available at your level, log on to the library's online catalog and enter your level (A1, A2, B1 or B2) in the search window and choose “subject” in the pull-down index window.

Children’s Learning Materials
The Haskell Library offers a wide variety of language learning materials for children of all ages. Our selection of kids’ French learning materials including DVDs, CDs, CD-ROMS, books and more can be found with a green sticker in our Espace Jeunesse. See List of Learning Materials.

Première Classe avec TV5MONDE
Répondant à des tres nombreuses demandes, la chaine de TV5MONDE vient d'enrichir son dispositif pédagogique d'un site d'initiation à la langue française : Première Classe avec TV5MONDE. Ce site d'auto-apprentissage est accessible en plusieurs langues et s'adresse aux grands débutants n'ayant aucune connaissance en français. Il est appelé à s'enrichir et à proposer dans les mois à venir un accès dans toutes nos langues de sous-titrage. Deux rubriques sont proposées : « Les Salutations » (se présenter, parler de son entourage..) et « Les Loisirs » (parler de ses activités, proposer un sortie…). Le site est accompagné de « Aides » (règles de grammaire et de prononciation, fiches vocabulaire) et des « Astuces pour apprendre ». Débutez en français chez vous avec TV5Monde ! Le site multilingue Première Classe.

AsapFrance.info
Attention all students of French! A new web site, called AsapFrance.info, is now available for you. ASAP stands for “Apprendre, Savoir, Approfondir, Partager”: all good notions for language-learning. This site has been created by Geneviève Brame, author of the popular “Chez Vous in France”, in conjunction with the French Embassies of Brussels, London and The Hague. This lively site puts at your fingertips all sorts of short texts concerning France, its language and culture. It offers insights into the many charms of daily life…à la française.

Are you a French teacher? Resources for FFL Teachers
A new collection of titles for teachers of French is now available in the Alexandre and Jacques Centre d’Autoapprentissage. These titles provide theoretical material for professional development and hands-on information to help in the preparing of classes. Subjects range from linguistics, history of the French language, francophony, intercultural issues, the European Framework, teaching to children, and more!
