Cross-Cultural Training (In English)

This new program led in English will help you better understand differences between American and French cultures, and show you ways to build effective professional and personal relationships.

This program is for you whether you are an occasional or frequent traveler to France, plan to move to France, or have co-workers, friends, or family who are French.

The program will be interactive and will draw on participants own experiences. It is led by Cecile Blin, a communications coach with over 20 years of experience working in France and the US.

Spring Workshops

May 15–June 12

Intro Workshop — Tue, May 15, from 6-9pm

This introduction to the new Cross-Cultural Training program will cover training objectives, and include group discussions about real-life experiences where cultural differences may have led to miscommunication or misunderstandings. This workshop will be free.

French Food & Eating Habits — Tue, May 22, from 6-9pm

Group coaching session about food and eating facts and differences: Structure of meals, restaurants do's and don'ts, food habits...

French Attitudes — Tue, May 29, from 6-9pm

Group coaching session about French attitudes : Defining personal and professional space, topics of discussion to expect, type of questions to ask, French attitude towards strangers...

Social Life — Tue, June 5, from 6-9pm

Group coaching session about social life : Things to consider when you are invited to someone's home, going out, engaging with friends, interacting in the workplace...

Children — Tue, June 12, from 6-9pm

Group coaching session about children : Child-rearing, navigating the school system, birthdays parties, play dates...

About Cécile Blin

Cecile Blin has been working for over 20 years with a large spectrum of clients and companies, especially overseas on operational positions and consulting/coaching roles. As a coach, she is focusing on two different fields : health care and cross-cultural management. She helps and supports leaders and their teams develop or acquire skills in leadership and communication in order to improve team building and obtain significant results despite intercultural differences. She has both a technical and marketing background and has been trained in coaching in both France and USA.
