interested in our programs and services and to determine

address (if you have one), and credit card number. For
reasons of security, credit card information is not stored
permanently on the Web server. You may also be asked
for additional information required to complete and service
your request, such as the names of your children when

Children 12 and Under
We
do not solicit personal information from children. In any
section of the site that requests personal information,
visitors 12 years of age and under are reminded to
obtain permission from an adult before supplying the requested
information. In addition, FIAF does not advertise or promote commercial
products or services in any section of the site intended
specifically for children.

How FIAF Uses Information Collected on our Website
FIAF uses the information
you provide so that we can better meet your needs. Occasionally,
we may share the information you provide when you request
information or complete an on-line survey (your name
and your postal and/or email address) with other organizations
or companies whose products and services might interest
you. If you would prefer not to have your information
shared in this way, you may check the "please
do not make my name available" box located at the
bottom of the page on which you have requested information
or completed a survey. FIAF never
shares with third parties any information you provide
when purchasing a membership, registering for class or
making a donation.

Email Policy
We
regularly send email newsletters and email notices of upcoming
events to our members or parties who have requested specific
categories of information. You may subscribe or unsubscribe
to an email newsletter or email notice at any time. Use the 'receive Newsletter' form at the top of this page to subscribe.
Language Center emails: When you register for a class at the FIAF Language Center, we encourage you to provide us with an email address at which you can be reached. We will use this email to contact you with important information regarding your class, such as, registration confirmation, room & instructor assignment, change in class schedule, cancellations, etc. We will also send you emails about start of sessions, early-bird discounts, upcoming workshops or classes that may interest you, etc. Please note that while you are a student at FIAF, we reserve the right to contact you via email, while ensuring that your information and privacy are protected.
Occasionally,
FIAF may email
persons requesting information, members, students and/or
donors to inform them of changes in this Web site or our
online policies. If you do not wish to receive any email
from FIAF, please
send an email message to fiafnews@fiaf.org with subject line 'Do Not Email'.
We read every email message that
we receive. We also try to respond within two business
days of receipt. If you email FIAF, your message and email address
will be forwarded to the appropriate department within
FIAF. This department
may choose to save your information in case you decide
to contact us again.
